This is the part most suppliers leave vague, so let me be direct about it. The dividing line is not Europe, it is the European Union. Those are not the same thing, and the difference decides whether your parcel sits in a customs depot.

We say this before you order rather than after. A parcel held at customs is not just slower, it is a parcel whose storage temperature nobody can account for.
Why staying inside the EU matters for peptides specifically
Lyophilised peptide is freeze-dried powder. Sealed, it is reasonably stable, and that is exactly why it ships in that form. But reasonably stable is not the same as indestructible.
Two things degrade it. Heat accelerates breakdown of the peptide chain. And moisture, which can enter through the rubber stopper, partially dissolves the powder, after which degradation runs considerably faster. That is why a serious supplier measures water content by Karl Fischer titration: that number tells you how long the powder stays stable.
The problem with a customs hold is not the duration in itself. It is that there is a window in which nobody knows where the parcel sat or at what temperature. A customs depot is not a cold room.
A certificate of analysis describes the batch at the moment it was tested. It says nothing about what three weeks of warmth did to it afterwards.

The research peptide market is not regulated the way a pharmacy is. The difference between suppliers therefore lies entirely in what they can demonstrate. Four points are enough.
A certificate per batch, not per product. A certificate attached to a product page rather than to your specific batch number tells you nothing about the vial in your hands.
Two independent methods. HPLC shows purity, mass spectrometry confirms the compound is what the label says. HPLC alone is half the story.
A cold chain that matches the distance. A shipment weeks in transit from another continent is a different product than the same powder that stayed within the EU.
A payment method that leaves a trail. Wero, credit card, Apple Pay and Google Pay all do. Suppliers who accept only crypto deliberately avoid that, and that tells you something.
